Media Literacy Education for Prospective Freshman Voters

Korea University’s Peace and Democracy Institute(KU PDI) will hold a media literacy education <Our Neighborhood News> sponsored by Korea Press Foundation from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday from September 27 to November 29, 2021. The purpose of this training for freshman voters in the 2022 presidential election is to improve media literacy of freshman voters amid a flood of information and to provide them with the experience of covering and producing local news themselves. Participants who complete a certain course will be provided with certificates and expenses for coverage, and online lectures using Zoom will be mainly conducted in the COVID-19 situation, and on-site coverage will be conducted in compliance with quarantine guidelines.
