  • Abstract: This talk will address what challenges China’s rise does and does not pose to the United States, its allies and partners, and to multilateral international institutions and norms. Issues to be discussed will be China’s military modernization, trends in Beijing’s economic policies, China’s behavior in its multiple sovereignty disputes, and China’s policies toward existing and new multilateral institutions.
